Virginia Beach, bare of tourists in the off-season
Tomorrow morning I will leave this resort city on this bike trail. Within twenty miles, I will greet the wilderness
of the northern Outer Banks. I’ll camp
there and see you in Kitty Hawk on Saturday.
Just what I needed…an exercise incentive! I will imagine all that you are seeing as I ride twenty-five miles each day on my stationary bike. No photos here. Ride on, Sharon, and Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteRide on Stevie, twenty-five miles is good on any bike.
DeleteRick and I walking over 10,000 steps a day! Great, especially for Rick. Tonight we went to Abricott with Ross. I revised my haiku for you Sharon:
ReplyDeletefly in to your outer pranks you April fool
(hope you are enjoying the REAL wilderness after all those wide open empty spaces where people used to be on Virginia Beach...)
10,000 steps a day is like a good bike ride. I have done some outer pranks on the Outer Banks, as you will soon see.
DeleteThe prompt for April 2 on NaHaiWriMo for April 2 was "painful" so I wrote, thinking of you and the outer banks, Sharon...
ReplyDeleteeroding shore will she carry the house on her bike
Yes, I carry my house on my bike, all rolled up for travel, all puffed out for sleeping.

ReplyDeleteThe rescue, then
You had an immense share of magic, today dear Sharon
Fortune smiles to the strong
Thanks Toti, these are nice reactions to my story. I don’t know if I am strong or if fortune smiles on the strong. I am weak in some ways. Mostly, I am thankful to the man who rescued me.
